THE LIVING CONDUCTOR
Guided · newest first
Manual keeps the world moving without automatic travel. Guided follows the catalogue. Adaptive chooses fresh families using available signals and your explicit feedback. Autonomous also develops density and intensity through an internal arc. Every override is immediate.
Feedback is session-only unless you enable remembering below. Select a world to revisit; use Like or Save again to remove it.
Saved worlds
Liked worlds
Breed whole worlds: landform, sky, water, weather, camera and scale inherit separately, alongside growth, material and rhythm. The eight IX, twelve X and sixteen XI GPU environments reuse their exact source kernels. The four new X living Canvas worlds use labelled adapters, not exact solver splices. Older worlds use labelled environment adapters, not their original simulation solvers. Saved eco-v1 creatures and habitat-v2 recipes remain playable.
Weights normalize automatically. Whole modules have one donor; a 32-parent recipe does not guarantee every parent donates a categorical module. Numeric trait provenance shows all weights.
Search uses 55% genome diversity, 30% moderate developmental-trait proxy and 15% similarity to your taste reference (neutral if absent). Without optional personal training below these are heuristics. With training enabled, the 30% proxy term blends toward your learned preference; diversity remains protected. No universal beauty score is claimed. Comparisons persist only with their separate consent. Yields after each candidate; stops when hidden. Time budget covers genome search, not final thumbnail rendering. Nothing auto-saves; saving a survivor includes its available unsaved ancestry within the 100-record library cap.
Choose “compare from here” on one candidate, then “prefer over reference” on another after viewing/auditioning both. A regularized pairwise logistic model learns from your explicit choices using genes and actual thumbnail light/contrast/colour/edge/occupancy measurements. Three distinct pairs enable learned ranking; its influence increases up to 20 pairs. Maximum 128 pairs. This learns your current preferences, not universal beauty or musical understanding. Small training sets can overfit; ranking is not a calibrated probability. No implicit tracking, uploads or images saved to device.
Twins share a genome but have different population/habitat seeds. Audition, name and save either; saved children can become parents. The nursery stays separate from the 360-world catalogue. Auditions turn on Linger; arrows return to authored travel.
Newborns have a live firstborn viewport; the comparison thumbnails remain stills. Audition explicitly starts playback even after Hold. Motion set to zero, Calm and reduced-motion settings remain respected.
Session nursery ready. Nothing saved to disk.
Off by default on every visit. Check to load your device library and persist saves; uncheck to erase that device library while keeping session recipes. Export before clearing. Maximum 100 saved recipes. Audio and filenames never enter recipes.
Imports are versioned numeric data, never executable code (2 MiB / 512 total versioned records; library remains 100 saved offspring). Deleting a parent leaves its ID in descendants, visibly marked missing, rather than deleting a family. Exports contain seeds and recipes, not runtime checkpoints.
Four editable routes. Negative strength inverts a route; unchecked bypasses it. Zero global audio reactivity bypasses all routes. Trait changes are bounded to ±35% of manual values; calm/reduced-motion attenuates them further. No automatic brightness flashes.
Profiles persist only with “Remember settings” below (up to 64). Other worlds inherit global routes. Reset preferences clears all profiles. Microphone remains real-time; the analysis below never captures it.
First choose a playback file below, then explicitly analyze it. Look-ahead supports mono/stereo PCM16 or float32 WAV (32 MiB, 10 minutes), plus locally hosted MP3, FLAC and Ogg Vorbis decoders in a terminable worker (32 MiB encoded / 3 minutes decoded / 45-second time budget / 16 kHz mono/stereo output). Stop terminates that worker, including in-flight WASM work; no native decode is started for those formats. Other browser-playable codecs such as AAC/M4A, Opus or WebM require the separate native-fallback consent below. Native decode cannot be interrupted in flight and can allocate extra memory; Stop discards its result, but native work can finish in the background. Encoded files are held whole; worker PCM is processed in chunks with bounded output, not constant total memory. Playback and tap tempo remain available if look-ahead is unsupported. A cancellable worker computes two-resolution spectra, RMS, centroid, rolloff, flatness, chroma, novelty and conservative tempo candidates. No audio is uploaded or stored.
Apache-licensed pretrained Basic Pitch 1.0.1, not heuristic chroma relabelled as AI. Runs in a terminable worker with a 60-second budget, one WASM thread, 22.05 kHz mono from the strongest-energy channel. Model/runtime files load only when requested; no audio upload or persisted predictions. Best on a single pitched instrument; percussion, mixes and unusual timbres can be wrong. These are raw note activations, not calibrated certainty or key/chord/mood/section understanding. Output covers only the first four seconds; optional “notes” route needs look-ahead enabled and bypasses outside that excerpt. Stop/disable terminates inference and clears results; browser HTTP cache may retain public model files.
No note-model data retained
No local analysis retained
No analyzed track.
Arc = normalized future energy; spectral = high-frequency energy fraction; texture = spectral flatness; novelty = chroma/energy change, not a chorus detector. These four sources require completed local-file analysis and enabled look-ahead. Beat is a continuous phase clock only when tempo has evidence or you tap it; offset corrects alignment, not an inferred downbeat. Pitch-class energy does not prove key or chords. White markers are your annotations (and gentle novelty cues when routed), gold markers are change candidates. Audio stop/replacement/reload discards file references, features and corrections. No model loads unless its separate opt-in above is checked.
Optional local storage only. Audio, file names and microphone data are never saved. Turn remembering off to delete stored preferences. Reset clears stored and session preferences and stops audio.
